Pride House LA-WeHo Volunteer Spotlight: Tony Hall

Tony Hall was one of the very first people to volunteer for Out Athlete Fund. Living in Kentucky, his contributions to the organization and our cause continue to this day.

PH: What motivates you to work with Out Athlete Fund and Pride House?

Tony Hall: Sports is one of the most diverse and wide-reaching aspects of society, and brings people from such a huge diversity of backgrounds together. Being apart of Out AF and Pride House give me an opportunity to make our LGBTQ+ Family more visible on such a large world stage such as the Olympics.

PH: What's your sports background?

Tony: Most anyone in my life would call me one of the most uncoordinated people they know. While I love being active, my sports life is kept to team sport leagues like Stonewall (where my lack of coordination can be endearing) and running and playing tennis with friends.

PH: Do you have a favorite Olympics memory?

Tony: The moment that gives me chills is from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, when Qatar's Mutaz Barshim and Italy's Gianmarco Tamberi chose to tie in the high jump. Two amazing athletes not motivated by glory, but instead united by the passion of the sport.
