Pride House Los Angeles/West Hollywood Celebrates Pride Month With Four-Day World Cup Kickoff Event

June 11–14 Programming in West Hollywood Features Latin Culture Day, Women in Sports Day, First-Ever Gay MLS Players Reunion

LOS ANGELES – MAY 21, 2026 – Pride House LA/West Hollywood (PH LA/WeHo) announced details for its official launch event and Pride Month celebration centered on the kickoff of the 2026 World Cup. Taking place June 11–14 at Beaches Tropicana (8911 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood, CA), the four days of programming will bring together elected officials, world-class athletes, celebrities, community leaders, LGBTQ+ advocates, and fans for a landmark moment at the intersection of sport, culture, and community.


Produced by Out Athlete Fund — the nonprofit advancing LGBTQ+ athletes through financial support, education, and year-round programming — the event serves as the official PH LA/WeHo launch, marking a key milestone in its broader mission as it builds toward its flagship 17-day festival alongside the 2028 Summer Games.

THURSDAY, JUNE 11

"Welcome to Pride House" Opening Party

Pride House Los Angeles/West Hollywood officially opens its doors with an electrifying evening celebration featuring live music and an upbeat, festive atmosphere, featuring brief remarks from a distinguished roster of speakers, sharing the stage to mark this historic occasion. Visual storytelling installations throughout the venue will chronicle the journey of Pride House and the LGBTQ+ athletes and advocates who made it possible.

FRIDAY, JUNE 12

Celebramos la Cultura Latina

Pride House LA/WeHo dedicates its second day to a vibrant celebration of Latin culture, identity, and LGBTQ+ pride. Programming runs from 4 - 9 pm and will be hosted by acclaimed Cuban entertainer Tito Bonito, whose infectious energy and deep roots in both Latin and LGBTQ+ communities will set the tone for an unforgettable evening.


The centerpiece of the day is the live watch party for the USA vs. Paraguay FIFA World Cup match (6 pm - 8:30 pm), broadcast with full-game audio. At halftime, Tito Bonito and his team will present a halftime showcase featuring a high-energy performance of a Bad Bunny hit. Additional programming throughout the evening will include live musical performances and comedy.

SATURDAY, JUNE 13

Women in Sports Day with Angel City Football Club and Women's Party

In partnership with LA’s professional women’s football team, Angel City Football Club, Pride House LA/WeHo shines a spotlight on the power and visibility of women in sport. Daytime programming is centered around a highly-anticipated, live conversation with US Women’s National Team legends and hosts of the RE-CAP Show, Christen Press and Tobin Heath.


As night falls, the celebration continues with an exclusive women-forward, queer-centered cultural event anchored in comedy, music, and community. Produced in partnership with Girls, Gays & Theys, the night will include curated queer comedy, a DJ-led dance party, surprise celebrity drop-ins and performances.


Daytime Programming: 2 pm -3 pm  |  Women's Party (VIP): 8 pm - 2 am


SUNDAY, JUNE 14

Gay MLS Players Reunion & Gay Games Sendoff

Sunday brings two landmark moments to Beaches Tropicana to close out the World Cup opening weekend. In partnership with LAFC, Pride House LA/WeHo will host the first-ever Gay MLS Players Reunion, bringing together openly gay Major League Soccer players Collin Martin and Matt Hatzke for a historic meet-and-greet and panel conversation moderated by Outsports co-founder Cyd Zeigler. 


The weekend culminates with the Gay Games Sendoff, led by Out Athlete Fund board president and longtime Gay Games board member, Les Johnson - a "Sunday Funday" party honoring the athletes and teams preparing to compete at the Gay Games in Spain. With live music and the full Pride House community as a send-off, it promises to be a rousing farewell to the LGBTQ+ athletes carrying the torch to the world stage.
